Michael Jordan set an unfair precedent for anyone that tries to play when they have the flu.
The picture of Scottie Pippen carrying MJ off the court after he had dismantled the opposition rings clear in every hoopers mind.
Well, I was ready for my flu game on Saturday.

The game went about as well as Michael Jordan playing baseball.
We lost and I was not good.

At least when it comes to writing there isn’t some dominat force who produced some of the best literature work of all time under the stress of the flu.. As far as I know.

So when this weeks Monday With McVeigh is just someone else’s writing on resilience, healing and nature that inspired me I don’t have to feel bad about it.

Marine biologist Rachel Carson:

"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter."

Have a great week everyone.

Stop missing their games.
