Well I mean we aren't going to die if you don’t consume cold-pressed juices, but I've read these demanding headlines that will get people's attention. So I guess it worked right?
I was sick of being sick. It was time for me to take some responsibility and upgrade my health and lifestyle. Quickly I realised how time-consuming preparing and eating everything my body needs can be. But since making the switch to healthier eating, my life has shifted into having more sustainable energy, feeling confident about my treatment of my body, and even better basketball performance from eating a diet I'm proud of.
I need to quickly clarify what a ‘healthy’ diet means to me. With so many diets and so-called professionals demanding you to eat this and drink that (yes life won't be as rewarding without cold-pressed juice lol). The only important thing about a healthy diet is finding what works for you, what makes you feel energetic, what helps you feel confident about your body and habits, what’s sustainable and manageable for you. Trial and error with self-awareness can help achieve this. Then we learn from other people and add habits that worked for them into our toolbox. Let’s add juices to our toolbox. So here are 3 reasons you must drink cold-pressed juices.
1. Helps meet your daily fruit and Veg
According to the CDC, only 1 in 10 adults meet the daily fruit and veg recommendations. This is 2 cups of fruit and 2-3 cups of veg per day. In our busy lives, we all are guilty of working a little too hard and not prioritizing our diet or health on those more stressful days. These are the days we need our nutrition even more. Nothing is easier than grabbing a premade juice from the fridge and getting a daily shot of goodness. We all know the negative side effects of not eating well, and this is a super quick, easy, and delicious way to help our body receive everything it needs.
