Are you insane?

Writer's picture: Jack McveighJack Mcveigh

Are you sick of not succeeding?

Not making that team.

Missing that big shot.

The definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results.

If you want different results, you need different habits.

For the last two years, I have been eliminated in the NBL playoffs.

Something has to change.

I’m taking accountability for the situation.

That gives me the power to make a difference.

Here is one system I will improve to help bring home a championship.

Step 1.

Take accountability

Focus on what you can control and improve that system.

Step 2.

Build awareness of what you need to improve.

I’m not satisfied with how I’ve shot the ball.

Step 3.

Create a plan.

Goal: Make 100 threes in a row.

Method: Shoot 5 times a week at Swisher on the shooting gun.

Intent: Make 10 in a row from 6 spots in under 30 minutes and work my way up when completed.

Focus: Improving shot arc and balance on landing.

Step 4.

Action.

It's time to execute.

I will be using a habit-tracking app and Lloyd (my brother) to hold me accountable.

Who knows how efficient the efficient man can become?

I challenge you this week:

  • What systems can you improve to make a difference in your results?

  • What mentor can you learn from this week?

  • Are you insane, or are you willing to adapt and grow?
